I have Leopard and my DVD keeps asking me to register over and over again. How can I stop it?

Create a .txt file and save it as "your DVD name here".txt.

eg. You have Pro Tools Level 3. Create a file named ProToolsTutorialLevel3.txt

Place it in your Macintosh HD -> Users folder.

Leopard no longer lets some older DVDs write to this folder so you have to put it there manually. If you have a password on your account, it will ask you to enter it before you can copy the file.

Here is a list of file names to use ->

ProToolsTutorialLevel3.txt
MixingWithThePros.txt
SibeliusTutorialDVDLevel1.txt
SibeliusTutorialDVDLevel2.txt

I am a mac osx user in the uk will I be able to watch all the Logic dvds and the mxing dvd on my computer or on my dvd player?

You will certainly be able to watch both of these titles. The Logic Tutorial DVD only contains a DVD-Rom, so you will only be able to watch that on your computer.

The Mixing With The Pros Tutorial DVD comes with both a DVD-Rom and a NTSC and PAL DVD-Video. That means you can enjoy it on either your computer or a standard DVD player.

My Tutorial DVD crashes when it plays or when the video starts to come in.

Q: My tutorial DVD crashes when it plays or when the video stars to come in.

A: We have seem some systems that crash after the credits end and the video begins to play (or just before). This has been seen on systems with QuickTime 7.X and above, NVIDIA display cardsand mainly PC computers - but is not limited to these.

One way we have corrected this is to turn off "DirectX" in QuickTime. This is how to do it:

Open QuickTime on Windows

Choose "Edit" -> "Preferences" -> "QuickTime Preferences..."

Click the "Advanced" tab

Under the "Video" heading click on "Safe mode (GDI only)

I get a choppy, echoing audio sound, and it sounds like feedback in my monitors! The video is excellent and I´ve tried tweaking everything.

Q: I get a choppy, echoing audio sound, and it sounds like feedback in my monitors! The video is excellent and I´ve tried tweaking everything.

A: The reason that the audio is choppy is because you are utilizing an ASIO driver for playback. Try changing the latency to 12ms. This works on most systems.

Otherwise: Make sure that you use the standard soundcard that came with your computer.
